George Webster is a mixed Chinese/British photographer and filmmaker based in Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia. With a deep passion for visual storytelling, his work explores character, narrative, and light, blending analogue and digital mediums to create striking, emotionally resonant imagery.
George’s work has been featured in the Museum of Brisbane’s New Light: Photography Now + Then exhibition and shared by Rolleiflex World. He has photographed and lensed numerous short films, documentaries, music videos, events, and commercial projects—including shooting for the 2025 AACTA Awards.
George brings a cinematic sensibility to his photography, shaped by his background in film and visual storytelling. His creative practice is deeply influenced by his immigrant background and mixed heritage, using photography as a medium to explore culture, identity, and social change.
