George Webster is a Chinese/English photographer and filmmaker. He is based in Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia.

Photographing since 2019, George has since been published in the Museum of Brisbane’s New Light: Photography Now + Then exhibition and shared by Rolleiflex World. He has photographed and lensed numerous short films, documentaries, music videos, events, and marketing content.

George is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Film, Screen, and New Media) and Business (Marketing) at QUT, due to graduate in 2025. He has a background in cinema and visual storytelling, with his work focusing on character, narrative, and light. He uses a blend of analogue and digital mediums in his work.

Despite a keen interest in all forms of storytelling, his passion lies in using his immigrant background and mixed heritage to influence his creative practice and to tell stories exploring culture, identity, and social change.

Beyond his artistic work, George has worked across several film-related roles and has 3+ years of experience working as a photo technician in a film lab.
